01Working with MHA
What does MHA actually do?
We connect the parts of marketing most businesses buy from separate vendors: ads, search, your website, lead follow-up and reporting. One strategist runs the plan and specialists handle each channel, so everything pulls toward the same result, which is more customers.
Who is MHA a good fit for?
Service businesses and local companies that want more calls, bookings and customers, and are tired of coordinating vendors who don't talk to each other. We work with home services, healthcare, legal, real estate, professional services and e-commerce businesses.
What happens when we start?
We begin by diagnosing where customers are being lost across your ads, search presence, website, follow-up and tracking. Then we rank the fixes by impact and effort, so the first stretch of work goes to the moves that pay back fastest.
Can you work with our existing team?
Yes. We can run everything, or plug into what you already have, whether that's an in-house marketer, a sales team or a web developer you like. Your strategist coordinates the work so nothing gets done twice or dropped between people.
Do you execute, or only advise?
Both. Most clients have us do the work. If you already have people to execute, our fractional growth strategy option gives you the plan, the priorities and regular reviews without the execution.
Who will we actually work with?
One lead strategist who owns your plan and results, backed by specialists for SEO, paid media, CRO, creative and automation. You talk to one person, and that person knows your account well enough to make decisions without a full briefing every time.
02Google & Meta ads
How quickly can campaigns launch?
We launch in stages rather than all at once. First we confirm tracking works, so every call and form is counted from day one. Then campaigns go live on a controlled budget and we scale what converts. The biggest factor in speed is usually how quickly we get access to your accounts.
Can you take over an existing ad account?
Yes. We audit it first, keep what's working and fix what's wasting money before making big changes, so you don't throw away the history the account has built up.
What budget range makes sense?
It depends on your market, your competition and how many new customers you want each month. We'll recommend a starting budget big enough to produce useful data quickly, and show you the reasoning, rather than quoting a number before we've looked at your market.
Do you create the ads?
Yes. We write the ad copy and create the creative, then test versions against each other so the budget keeps moving toward whatever is actually producing leads.
Should Meta leads use an instant form or our website?
Both can work. Instant forms are quicker to fill in but tend to bring in less committed leads. A focused landing page asks a little more of people and usually brings better ones. We often test both and let your booked-job numbers decide.
Can Meta ads work for local businesses?
Yes. Meta is good at reaching people in your service area before they start searching, and at reminding people who have already visited your site. It works best alongside search ads rather than instead of them.
03SEO, Local SEO & AEO
How long does SEO take?
Longer than ads, and anyone promising page one in a few weeks is guessing. Technical fixes and Google Business Profile improvements can show up fairly quickly, while competitive rankings take months of steady work. We report progress in calls and leads along the way, not just rankings.
What's the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?
Local SEO is about showing up in the map results and "near me" searches in your service area, driven mostly by your Google Business Profile, reviews and location pages. Regular SEO is about ranking your website for broader searches. Most local businesses need both, weighted toward local.
What is AEO?
Answer engine optimization. It's the work of making sure AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews can find, trust and recommend your business when someone asks them for help.
Does AEO replace SEO?
No. AI answers lean on many of the same signals good SEO builds: clear pages, consistent business details, genuine reviews and mentions on sites people trust. AEO builds on SEO rather than replacing it.
Can service-area businesses rank without a storefront?
Yes. You can rank in the map results by setting your service areas correctly in Google Business Profile, backed by genuine location pages and reviews from customers in those areas.
Can SEO and Google Ads work together?
They should. Ads bring in leads while SEO builds, the search terms from your ads show which keywords actually turn into customers, and appearing in both the paid and the regular results for the same search builds trust.
04Website & CRO
Can you improve our existing website instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes, and it's usually where we start. Fixing the pages that get the most traffic, tightening the calls to action and speeding things up tends to pay back faster than a full rebuild.
Will you write the website copy?
Yes. Copy is written around how your customers actually search and decide, not stuffed with keywords. You review and approve everything before it goes live.
How long does a website build take?
It depends on the number of pages and how quickly content and approvals come back. You'll get a timeline with milestones before any work starts.
Do you track which pages bring in leads?
Yes. Every call, form and booking is tracked back to the page and channel it came from, so you can see which pages are pulling their weight.
Should landing pages have a navigation menu?
Usually not. A landing page built for one campaign converts better with one clear action and nothing to wander off to. Your main website pages keep their full navigation.
05AI automation & follow-up
Can follow-up happen after hours?
Yes, and it's one of the biggest wins. A new lead gets an instant reply by text or email, even at 11pm on a Sunday, and the conversation is waiting for your team in the morning.
Will AI replace human strategy?
No. AI handles the repetitive work quickly: first replies, reminders, monitoring and reporting. People make the calls that need judgment, and a human signs off on anything that touches a customer.
Can this connect to the CRM we already use?
In most cases, yes. We connect to the tools you already have wherever we can, rather than moving you onto something new.
Can leads book appointments on their own?
Yes. Leads can pick a time straight from the first reply, and reminders go out automatically to cut down on no-shows.
Can people opt out of texts and emails?
Always. Every message includes a clear way to opt out, and we only message people who have agreed to hear from you.
Can we customize the messages?
Yes. Messages are written in your voice, and you approve them before anything goes live.
06Tracking & reporting
Can phone calls be tracked?
Yes. Call tracking shows which ad, keyword or page produced each call, so phone leads show up in your numbers instead of disappearing.
What counts as a conversion?
The actions that lead to revenue: calls, form submissions and bookings. We track softer signals too, but we don't report them as wins.
What is attribution?
Working out which marketing actually produced each lead or sale. It's what stops you cutting the channel that's quietly doing the work.
Can sales results feed back into the marketing?
Yes. When booked jobs and sales from your CRM flow back into your reporting and ad platforms, we can optimize for customers rather than just leads.
What will our reports show?
One report that follows each lead from the first click to the booked job, with every channel measured against the same outcome, in plain English.
07Pricing & contracts
How much does it cost?
It depends on what you need. We don't sell one-size packages; we scope the work around your goal. Engagements usually fall into three levels: Foundation (one main channel plus conversion setup and reporting), Growth System (several channels, landing pages, lead follow-up and reporting) and Scale (multi-channel growth with creative testing, automation and advanced analytics).
Why don't you publish prices?
Two businesses asking for "Google Ads" can need very different amounts of work. A quote built around your goals after a short conversation is more honest than a package price that doesn't fit.
Is there a long-term contract?
Every proposal sets out the minimum term, the notice period and what happens if you decide to leave, in writing, before you sign anything. No surprises.
What's in the free growth plan?
A look at where you are now, what's working, what's wasting money and the moves we'd make first. It's free, and there's no obligation to work with us afterwards.
